Course objectives

Knowledge and understanding of the main properties of the matter at the nanoscale and their characterization. Knowledge and understanding of the main properties of the nanomaterials used in Medicine and their applications. Development of skills addressed to plan R&D on nanomaterials for Medical applications.

 

Fundaments of Physics and Chemistry.

 

Course program

Definition of nanomaterials; properties of the materials at the nanoscale; methods to characterized nanomaterials; methods for nanomaterials manufacturing; esample of nanomaterials used for diagnosis and treatment of various diseases (including cancer); nanocarriers for drugs, nanomaterials for tissue regeneration, toxicology of nanomaterials.

None.
